Responsibilities

The H-E-B High School Internship program is designed to prepare high talent and self-motivated individuals for future careers with H-E-B. The program is an 8 - 10-week summer/fall internship (June - August / August - December) that offers high school students who have completed their junior year the opportunity to combine work experience and professional development with formal education. This program offers you an opportunity to work in an environment where you can learn, investigate career choices, and apply your education.

Interns will work approximately 20 hours a week in a business unit located at an H-E-B administrative location. Internship will be a hybrid both in-person and virtual work days.  Interns must have flexible availability and will receive a company overview, technical training, and exposure to H-E-B Leadership as part of their experience.

In addition to practical on-the-job training, interns will be challenged with assignments and projects relevant to their studies and the assigned business unit. Each intern will receive a final evaluation to assess his/her performance, to review goals and to discuss future career paths and options.
