Responsibilities

Job Summary: Monitors and analyzes security activities from Security Operations Center (SOC).

 

What is the work? (other duties may be assigned)

Security:

  • Monitors by video, all entry and exit points for pedestrian and vehicle traffic on proprieties and facilities owned and operated by H-E-B
  • Manages the Security Operations Center for assigned site, utilizing video management and access control systems 
  • Prioritizes workload based on urgency; delegates tasks
  • Responsible for the intake and coordination of serious incident reports
  • Performs routine duties with little or no supervision

 Communications:

  • Communicates with a range of audiences
  • Responsible for conducting security site surveys
  • Responsible for completing security reports
  • Communicates incidents with a sense of urgency, and in a timely manner

 Preferred Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of higher education preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in security
  • Previous CCTV monitoring experience required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel

 Physical and Other Requirements

  • Must have a neat, professional appearance
  • Sit for an extended period of time
  • Hand / finger dexterity
  • Lift 20 lbs or more on an occasional basis
  • Work extended hours; must be available to work all shifts
  • Work rotating schedules – we have day, mid, and overnight shifts. Candidates must be available to work all shifts on a rotating basis.
  • Use arms / hands in repetitive motion during the day
