Responsibilities

OBJECTIVE: Manage the processes and people that drive the material management within the facilities.

Essential Functions / Process Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned as necessary

Partner Leadership
- Provides coaching, training and development
- Seeks our recommendation from appropriate leader on handling critical situations
- Handles day-to-day tactical issues independently with little or no supervision
- Ensures compliance with internal practices and external policies, procedures, guidelines & governance
- Communicate tactical plans & initiatives to effectively gain partner cooperation
- Provides input on staffing levels & participates in sourcing and interviewing candidates
- Processes each work injury
- Administers performance appraisals

Inventory Dollar Value
- Sets minimum stock value based on how often each ingredient is used, lead time, etc.
- Sets days of stock by working with Procurement (must have 12 to 16 days of stock at all times)
- Responsible for driving down overall inventory level to maintain a lean operation

Inventory Accuracy
- Responsible for maintaining upwards of $1.5 million in inventory
- Ensures accuracy of inventory levels in Axapta
- Identifies any discrepancies in inventory levels and works to correct it
- Ensures inventory accuracy through: accurate inventory counts, proper scanning, and accurate receiving

Production Schedule
- Develops the production schedule which tells the Partners what to run every day
- Analyzes what the facility has in finished goods, what the stores are requesting, and what needs to be done to keep up the inventory level in order to develop the production schedule
- Must set the schedule at least six (6) weeks in advance
- Must work with Procurement to ensure that the inventory is where it needs to be in order to run according to the production schedule
- Ensures that the service level to the stores is accurate; if there is a discrepancy, must be able to identify and correct it
- Identifies the need for work orders and ensures that they are input in Axapta and completed correctly
- Coordinates prorations by working with the BDMs, Procurement, Accounting, and the facility Partners

Warehouse Standards
- Ensures that the first product in is the first product out
- Responsible for the completion of a 6-S project and its continued upkeep

Credit for Items Produced
- Works with Accounting to ensure that the items that the facility is producing are accurately tracked
- Must be able to identify any problems with the items produced, i.e., shrink, tonnage, invoices, etc.

Ingredient Availability
- Analyzes in shortages or overages in our inventory levels and ensures that the problem will be fixes

Data Integrity
- Ensures the accuracy of the Bill of Material

Other Responsibilities
- Shrink Reduction
- Analyzes all reports to ensure accuracy (i.e., period end reports, detailed variances, invoicing, and billing)
- Sets cutoffs for the live system in order to have accuracy on reports
- Must be able to become the subject matter expert for Axapta for the rest of the facility
- Trains leaders and Partners on the Axapta system

Education and Experience preferred
- Bachelor's Degree Required (Must have Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain OR a minimum of 3 years warehousing experience)
- Requires Advanced PC Skills
- Strong multi-tasking and attention to detail skills required
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Excellent time management skills
- Able to work in a team based environment
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Basic working knowledge and compliance: industry, EEOC and Employment laws
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and influence people and process situations
- Demonstrated proficiency with operating internal and external software systems at an intermediate level
- Participation in Leadership training
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekend and holidays
- Strong Math skills (+, -, *, /)
- Strong reading, writing and comprehension skills of manuals/instructions
- Advanced computer skills (Excel, Word and OMI, XPTR, CIMPRO and other in-house systems as required)
- Strong Analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to meet deadlines

Physical and Other Requirements
- Travel by car or airplane with overnight stays
- Lift 20 lbs or more on an occasional basis
- Work extended hours
- Work rotating schedules
- Able to work in an environment with temperatures ranging from 20 to 120 degrees and ambient temperatures.
- Able to work in an environment that may be wet and slippery to various residues including product, water and chemical.
- Standing, stooping, walking, bending, and climbing are all expected physical abilities, with or without accommodations.
