Travel Required: Travel for team meetings once per quarter at HEB offices in Austin and San Antonio for 2 days each trip.

Experience: 5 years pf experience with Software development or related. Requires experience with the following: Experience developing integrations in TIBCO technology; Managing data streaming and containerization using Kafka and Kubernetes for real-time data processing; Implement and maintain data warehousing and data lake solutions to ensure data availability for reporting and analysis using Kafka and Kubernetes; Expertise with AWS S3 storage and Databricks, with a focus on Spark and Python, to efficiently process and store large volumes of data; and Experience with Apache Kafka, Amazon S3, Google PubSub, and Oracle.

Job duties: Work engineering techniques, processes, and new technologies. Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system. Make recommendations for overall application system design, architecture, security, scalability, reliability, and performance. Coordinate installation of software system. Support the build and deployment pipeline and when necessary, both diagnose and solve production support issues. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. Identify, scope, and architect solutions for new features while considering technology alternatives and all impacts and tradeoffs. Work closely with Product, Design, and QA to deliver world-class digital experiences. Stay ahead of new technologies with an eye to evaluating and potentially incorporating them into your team’s architecture. Introduce new technologies that have ROI and influence. Lead technical design and delivery of complex feature initiatives across multiple systems as H-E-B improves the customer and Partner user experiences. Recommend changes to processes and tools at the group and department level based on industry standards, patterns, and practices. Influence others in technical decision-making and technology adoption within their domain. Diagnose and troubleshoot extremely complex issues independently. Identify ways to improve codebases, solutions to complex problems, and effectively propose paths forward to drive outcomes. Create documentation and training related to technology stacks and standards. Operate with minimal direction to drive large-scale initiatives. Provide end-to-end support to applications.
