As a Restaurant Manager, you'll provide excellent customer service, monitor customer service levels and production flow, and control quality of prepared foods for sale to restaurant guests. You'll also perform supervisory responsibilities, including scheduling, training, and developing Partners.

We are looking for:
- 1+ years of restaurant/related experience
- knowledge of food preparation and equipment

What is the work?
Management:
- Directly supervises kitchen and front of house Partners
- Trains / manages staff; supervises / coordinates all related culinary activities
- Manages / documents performance; contributes to performance reviews and continual Partner coaching
- Oversees performance of Partners in assigned areas of responsibility
- Assists in scheduling crew shifts, lunches, and breaks
- Assists in time and attendance tracking of all Partners
- Assists in training new Partners
- Assists in ordering ingredients and wrap supplies for product
- Provides internal customer service
- Frequently performs hourly Partner processes and duties in a proficient manner

Food Safety / Sanitation / Quality Control:
- Ensures / coaches to overall cleanliness, sanitation, and safety of all areas
- Works closely with Partners to ensure cleanliness and sanitation requirements of all venues meet SOP, QA, and ORT standards
- Oversees proper receiving, storage, rotation, and pars for all items within department
- Maintains consistent food specifications, including taste, appearance, presentation, portion control, and quality utilizing VTA standards
- Ensures sanitation compliance in food preparation areas; performs CIRs for department
- Maintains a clean and sanitary work area throughout the kitchen, walk-ins, and storage
- Oversees and monitors shrink

What is your background?
- Minimum age 18 (mandatory)
- 1+ years of related experience, completion of internal School of Retail Management (SORM) or equivalent training
- Completion of AST / TABC and material-handling equipment (MHE) certifications upon hire
- Food Safety Manager certification; AST certification
- Food safety certification (preferred)

Do you have what it takes to be a fit as a FOH Manager for H-E-B?
- Knowledge of food preparation and equipment
- Knowledge of beer and wine (preferred)
- Proficiency in H-E-B systems and Microsoft Office
- Advanced customer service skills
- Advanced communication and organization skills
- Ability to read / interpret documents such as safety rules, operating / maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of all sizes
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to guest concerns and complaints
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including opening, closing, weekend, holiday shifts
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks with attention to detail

** It is Partners' responsibility to never lift beyond their own safe lifting limit. If an item is too heavy to lift, push or pull, and / or carry, the Partner must break the box down into lighter, smaller, more manageable components, or ask for assistance from another Partner or a manager.
