As a Procurement Coordinator, you'll support buying and merchandising activities for Central Market.

We are looking for:
- experience in retail customer service (preferred)
- experience using purchasing and retail information systems

What is the work?
Administration / Communications:
- Sets up vendors for continuous rotation of new products
- Maintains / updates vendor rosters and cost changes; accurately keys in product maintenance / vendor management information
- Collaborates with vendors on H-E-B / Central Market processes and paperwork requirements; communicates to ensure vendors adhere to set timelines
- Trouble-shoots vendor / item issues at Store level; resolves appropriately
- Researches / resolves invoice and billing issues
- Compiles / updates newsletters, fliers, etc. with timely and accurate information
- Responds to product questions and item requests from internal / external customers
- Creates simple- to moderately-complex reports using BI and Excel; researches / prepares vendor cost comparisons
- Assists Buyers in preparing Store order spreadsheets, using BI historical data
- Procures / tracks product samples
- Researches / compiles order guide information for specific sub-departments
- Organizes / sets up eComm product taxonomy; uploads all advertising images and pricing onto CM website
- Provides administrative support to BDMs as needed
- Maintains communications with supplier contacts, in a 90% DSD-based supply chain
- Initiates / facilitates communication between CM Procurement, operations, Pricing, Marketing, retail services, H-E-B Corporate, and the vendor community
- Maintains retail change requests, temp price reductions, markdowns, discounted items

Inventory Management:
- Facilitates product information flow and data entry (using H-E-B purchasing management systems, including IMS, DSDS, OMI, W701, PMM, NIS, BI, DSS, CPS, CMOP, CT2020, FinNet, MS); organizes information flow and data entry as assigned
- Supports inventory management at wholesaler level, for continuous rotation of new product cut-ins and removals
- Monitors / may resolve shipping and delivery issues

What is your background?
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a customer service / team environment (retail preferred)
- Experience in practical business work
- Experience using purchasing and retail information systems and MS Office
- Experience working in a buying office environment a plus
